Anurag Paul

Anurag Paul (he/him) is ICRW Asia’s Communications Coordinator with over 10 years of experience. He manages communications, program advocacy, and social & behavior change endeavors at ICRW Asia Office and is responsible for implementing a holistic communications strategy for ICRW Asia with support from the ICRW US, ICRW Africa communications teams, and the External Relations Group. Prior to joining ICRW, Anurag worked as Program Officer, Communication at John Snow Inc. (JSI). There he was instrumental in strengthening the social media presence of the Immunisation Technical Support Unit in close collaboration with the Immunisation Division of Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India. He has successfully accomplished the development of various communication collaterals that are being used across the country in India’s Universal Immunization Programme (UIP). He has particularly contributed to the review of Comprehensive Universal Immunisation Program in the North-eastern States of India focusing on Strategic Communication and behaviour change.

Prior to JSI, Anurag was working at India HIV/AIDS Alliance (Alliance India) where he led the digital communication initiatives of the organisation. He established robust internal and external communication mechanisms to enhance the image of Alliance India among its stakeholders. Anurag applied innovative approaches in the documentation of innovative approaches in project implementation, with a particular focus on community-driven mechanisms and programming for key populations.

Prior to that, he was working for Nobel Peace Prize-winning organisation, Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) at their South Asia Office. He has also worked with Press Trust of India (PTI), NewsGram, HelpAge India, and Asha. Anurag has comprehensive experience in building partnerships and advanced projects centred on strengthening people’s voices from the grass-root level.
