Shantanu Kumar

Shantanu Kumar works as a Technical Specialist for the Learning Initiative – FP New Methods, based in Patna, Bihar.

Prior to joining ICRW, he served as a Behaviour Change Communication Officer at WaterAid, leading Social Art Behaviour Change (SABC) campaigns to promote WASH practices. Shantanu has facilitated Qualitative and quantitative studies to identify behaviour change themes, developed frameworks on identified behaviour, and worked with government officials to enhance project ownership.

He has extensive experience in family planning program implementation and monitoring Evaluation through his work with Jhpiego and Pathfinder International on projects like PRACHAR and ANANYA. His roles included supply chain management, training health providers and FLWs, program documentation, and reviewing HMIS and FPLMIS data to update government Counterpart. Shantanu also contributed to the roll-out of the POP        (Progesterone only Pill) contraceptive.
