About the WGCD Community

The WGCD Community is a partnership funded by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation through the Women and Girls at the Center of Development (WGCD) initiative.

The WGCD initiative includes nearly 40 different projects across a diverse set of geographies and sectors focused on advancing gender equality and the empowerment of women and girls. The WGCD Community includes individuals from each of the projects, their related partners and supporting teams.

Through this portal, partners can access and share resources, engage with specific learning clusters, connect with partners and request technical assistance. The portal is designed to support mutual learning, facilitate collaboration and build collective evidence for the field. This community and learning agenda is facilitated by the International Center for Research on Women (ICRW).
