Our Racial Equity & Inclusion Statement

""Racial Equity & Inclusion Statement

At the International Center for Research on Women (ICRW), we are committed to fostering a culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility (DEIA) in everything we do. For almost 50 years, we have been at the forefront of the global movement for gender equity and shared prosperity, driven by our research-to-action approach.

Our commitment to DEIA extends across every aspect of our work, including research, advocacy, messaging, visual representation, hiring, and partner and vendor selection. We recognize that a diverse and inclusive workplace, sector, and ecosystem are essential for creating lasting change.

We strive to create a safe and open environment where everyone’s voices are heard and valued, and we are continuously refining our protocols and language to ensure that all perspectives are represented in our internal and external communications. We also partner with diverse organizations, individuals, and communities to ensure that their perspectives, needs, and challenges are included in our work.

We understand that creating a truly equitable and inclusive culture requires ongoing effort and intentionality. We are committed to continuously learning and evolving, interrogating our policies, practices, and attitudes, and confronting systemic biases, racism, institutionalized inequities, and other forms of oppression.

Through our work, we aim to support positive change in the spaces we work and protect and elevate those who have been historically overlooked or silenced. Our global team is dedicated to upholding these values, and we seek to invite new voices to the table and foster a culture of collaboration and mutual respect.
